Multe is available to play for:

Hear are the questions you can expect us to ask when you inquire about a booking:
- How did you hear about us?
- What is your basic event information?
- What is the event?
- What is the date and time of your event?
- Where will it take place (venue, address, city, state)?
- What is the time duration of your event and how long would you like us to play?**
- What type of event is it (dinner, reception, dance, festival)?
- Is it a private event or open to the public for an admission fee?
- How many people do you expect will attend?
- Will Multe be the sole performance group or will there be other acts and/or bands?
- What type of venue will host the event? Is it indoors or outdoors?
- If indoors, what is the approximately size of the room and how high is the ceiling? Is there a raised stage area and what is the approximate square footage of that stage area? Is there a power source within 50′ of the performance area?
- If outdoors: Is there a stage? Is it covered? What is the approximate square footage of that stage area? Is there a power source within 50′ of the performance area?
- What type of sound system will you need? We always come prepared. A sound system is always provided and/or available whether it's needed and used or not. Even a small room full of people talking and laughing can drown out a totally unamplified band! This also allows us to ensure that any guest speakers from your group will also be heard.
- Are you planning to have dancing?
- If so, is there a dance floor and what kind of dance floor will it be (wooden, concrete, etc.)?
- Are there particular types and/or styles of dance music that would work best for your event?
- Is basic dance instruction desired? This is available for an additional fee.
- Are you interested in other options?
- Multe welcomes specific requests. For example, does your family or organization have roots or ties to a particular area of a Nordic country? With literally thousands of tunes available to us in our resource library, e are often able to provide audiences an opportunity to experience specific ancestral traditions (tunes from a specific area), making each performance a unique and exceptional encounter with culture and heritage for our listeners. Just ask!
- Pre-recorded music is also an appropriate option for certain situations and budgets. We have an extensive tune library of traditional and roots Nordic music–with many recordings that are no longer available outside of archives–and can put together a playlist tailored for your needs and sure to please.
** Our average performance time is two hours of performance, including a 15-minute break for the band between two sets of music. Longer times are available at additional cost.
We have some standard fees, as all bands do. That said, we will try to work within your budget, if we can. On occasion, we will consider discounts for certain organizations and/or events. However, this may affect the number of musicians that we can provide and the amount of performance time.
